Susan has made her choice between Ian and Mike; she chooses Mike. Unfortunately, Mike is on a camping trip, so Susan goes to the woods to find him. She brings plenty of cosmetics, but forgets to bring some hiking necessities. She and her wilderness guide, Toni, get lost in the woods. Susan complains to Toni about her complicated love life, and Toni yells at Susan and tells her that she doesn't think Susan can handle a permanent relationship because she invites too much drama in. Back at the campground, the two hikers are reported lost, and Mike recognizes Susan from her description.
Pizzeria Scavo is robbed while Lynette's there. Later, while Tom, Lynette, Rick, and a security guard are looking through security tapes, Tom is unpleasantly shocked to find Lynette having dinner with Rick. Tom confronts Rick.
Gabrielle and a meterman have an argument when she is given a ticket. She tries to talk him out of writing the ticket by telling him that she's engaged to a man running for mayor, but this only causes him to write more tickets. Gabrielle unsuccessfully tries to return old shoes she's worn before to pay the ticket. Two men go to the meterman's house and beat him up. A drunk married man tries to hit on Gabrielle, even when she points out she's engaged. Gabrielle throws a party with the help of a caterer, who tells Gabrielle that once Victor's elected, she won't have to pay for anything again, even parking tickets. Victor is elected as mayor.
Kayla begins to test Lynette so she threatens to put her out. When Tom refuses to deal with her, she later packs his and her bags to show she's serious.

Mnie dręczy w sumie tylko jedna rzecz, jak Tom Scavo mógł praktycznie zapomnieć o tym, że ma córkę? Zupełnie nie pokazują tego, że utrzymuje on z nią jakiś kontakt, rozumiem, że może to tylko zwykłe wizyty i nie chcą zajmować nimi swojego cennego czasu na antenie, ale bez przesady to nie to samo co czytanie porannej gazety, mogliby do tego jakoś nawiązać. Myślę, że Kayla wróci w następnym sezonie i zrobi niezłe zamieszanie. Skoro potrafiła przewrócić świat Lynette i Toma do góry nogami mając zaledwie 12(?) lat to tym bardziej gdy będzie już starsza.

Bree and Edie are fighting with each other. Bree, Gabrielle, Lynette, and Susan speak to Edie. Edie flirts with a man to get into Orson's apartment, even as Bree tells a woman not to trust Edie as her real estate agent.
Gary Cole again appears as Katherine's first husband, Wayne Davis. He has a lab tech run a DNA test. A younger version of Dylan appears, probably in flashback.
Lynette and Tom are surprised to learn Kayla's therapist wants the entire Scavo family to come in for therapy.
Susan's story
Susan Delfino is married to Mike. In the fall, Susan, Mike, and Julie welcome Mike's younger brother, Terry, and his wife, to Wisteria Lane. This season's mystery revolves around Terry and his wife.
Lynette's story
Lynette Scavo is sick with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Polly Bergen will play Lynette Scavo's mother, Stella Wingfield, in a recurring role introduced in the season 3 finale. Also, Doug Savant revealed in an interview on The View that Jason Gedrick will return as Rick Coletti in season 4. Tom and Lynette's marital problems continue, despite Lynette's cancer. With Stella and Rick around, Lynette's already busy life takes a turn for the worse. Kayla will continue to hate Lynette.
Bree's story
Bree Hodge is pretending to be pregnant so she can raise her daughter Danielle's child without anyone even knowing it's Danielle's. We can expect this to be uncovered at some point.
Gabrielle's story
Gabrielle Lang is married to Victor. Victor and his father, Milton, both return in season 4. Victor dies. Eva Longoria has revealed that season four will have Gabrielle and Carlos getting back together.
Edie's story
The question of whether or not Edie Britt's suicide attempt was successful remains unanswered for now. In season 4, Edie's secret sister, Helen (played by Claire King) comes to Wisteria Lane.
